Spring Break Ski Trip


 
Spring Break Ski Trip is back March 3-7, 2012 trip after a 4 year hiatus!! Your cost will be TBA, and will cover 50 passenger bus travel, meals, skiing for 3 days in Snowshoe, WV, snow tubing, lodging in condo at the top of the resort (ski down). What to bring:  Bible, Overnight necessities (no sleeping bag needed), ski apparel, casual/warm clothes, swimwear for indoor heated pools and hot tub, and readiness to have fun!                                         

Departing: Saturday, March 3rd at 6:00am

Returning: Wednesday, March 7th at 10:00pm

Basic
Itenary:

Saturday 3rd:



           5:30am  Meet at the University City Church Parking Lot - 4626 NW
8th Avenue -         church is directly behind Gainesville Health & Fitness
Center on 8th Avenue

           (You may leave your car here in the back of the parking lot
during the trip).



           6:00am  Depart from Church Parking Lot (We are taking a 50
passenger bus).  



           12:00pm  Lunch in South Carolina



           6:00pm  Dinner in West Virginia (Groceries foe week at WalMart
Supercenter)              



Besides get to know you game & movies on the bus, we will have a Praise &
worship  and sharing time from God's word before we arrive at Snowshoe.



           10:00pm Arrive at Snowshoe Resort Center



Sunday 4th - Tuesday 6th



           7:45am Communion Service in Main Hall on Sunday



           8:00am  Day Skiing 8:30am - 4:30pm ( Two Day Lift Ticket &
Equipment Covered)      

Night Skiing Optional 4:30pm - 10pm ($23 Extra Lift Ticket) or Snow Tubing
for $12 Racing Down Lanes

                     *Third Day on Tuesday 11th of Skiing Optional for
additional $40



           Each day:

           Breakfast at condo (each room has a kitchen - ovens, microwave,
fridge)  

           Lunch (at ski lodge, restaurants on slopes or ski back to condo
to eat)

           Dinner (group dinner at hotel restaurants or condo)



One night while we are there we will snow tube as a group - and one night
have dinner out as a group - and one night banquet dinner provided for all
back at condo.  Late nightly praise & worship:)



Each evening:

Free use of indoor heated pools/hot tubs

Free rec center for indoor sports & games

Free bus transportation throughout Snowshoe resort for shopping, dining,
relaxing and more!





Wednesday 7th:  



           6:00am Depart for Home



           12:00am Lunch in Carolinas



           6:00pm Dinner in Georgia



           10:00pm Arrive in Gainesville

           You can find ski gloves, glasses & bibs at
"Sports Authority" 

           Warm Clothes (Layered Clothing is best)

           Ski Gloves/Glasses (Any waterproof insulated gloves will do)

           Ski Bib or insulated jacket/pants

           Thermal Undergarments (It may get cold up there!)

           Overnight Necessities
